How Could God Let This Happen?

How Could God Let This Happen? from Jason Calhoun on Vimeo.

You may have heard about the story that launched us into this weeks discussion, if not, it's really brutal, sick, and disturbing. It made us ask the question, how could God let this happen. Take a listen, then please comment below with your thoughts, questions, disagreements and anything else. Thanks!

  1. First off, that story was horrible. Second, Oakhurst is right. Third, why did something think this was funny?

Blessing - Really, isn't anything more than hell a blessing, or would that be mercy. Well I feel really blessed because of God's mercy.

I think, in terms of protection, you are still taking extremes. I don't think that God ALWAYS/ONLY protects people because it is going to help someone else. I think that ultimately God does what he wants. Fairness is really man made. So, anything more than hell is a blessing. He could save someone because he wanted to help them out, he could save someone because he wanted to reach their family later on. He could not save someone for a different reason. He could financially bless a family because they are good at taking care of their money, he could financially bless a family because they give a lot. Or he could equally take both of those families money away, just because he wants to.

Ultimately, the question is (as you stated earlier) "Are you willing to follow me through whatever?"

I don't know. I have a lot more I can say, but I would much rather talk, than type.
