Alright, so you'll have to give us a little break

Well, we had an episode planned for today... but we haven't yet recorded it. This Sunday we celebrated our sons birthday, had family over, and ate more candy then any human should, so, we were tired, and our plans to record tonight were canceled pretty quickly. We also are trying to get another couple to record the episodes with us, which makes scheduling a bit tougher. We'll post the new episode as soon as we record, which will hopefully happen early this week. Anyhow, be sure to check back soon, thanks for checking in.

How Could God Let This Happen?

How Could God Let This Happen? from Jason Calhoun on Vimeo.

You may have heard about the story that launched us into this weeks discussion, if not, it's really brutal, sick, and disturbing. It made us ask the question, how could God let this happen. Take a listen, then please comment below with your thoughts, questions, disagreements and anything else. Thanks!

Welcome to the family mixpot.

Thanks for stopping by. The family mixpot is a blog run by myself, Jason and my wife Danielle Calhoun. We've been married for 8 years and have three young kids. We started this little blog really out of selfish reason in a sense, we're trying to figure out how to do this thing we're all doing, it's referred to as living by most. We've found that living life brings up a lot of questions, things like, how are we doing as parents, what do we really believe about God, and our relationship with Him, where is that donut, should I eat this donut, I did eat the donut, now what do I do?

The idea is that we'll be throwing up an audio blog once a week, where we'll discuss whatever we're dealing with that particular week, could be a thought, a question, a struggle, who knows. Then, we hope that you'll begin a little conversation with us via the comment section below each post. Let us know what you think, do you agree, disagree, have an answer, deal with the same thing, whatever. Anyway, that's about it, hope you enjoy, and hope you join in the discussion.
